A Blue Cross Dressing event organised at Joe's Waterhole on Saturday 3 September, not only raised funds for the Leukaemia Foundation, it allowed the men in Eumundi to get their finest blue frock-ON for a great cause and to also remember "Bluey" a much loved local who lost his battle with Leukaemia earlier this year. The ladies recipricated by cross dressing in suitable blue male atire.

Publican Brett Lewis said "It was a crazy fun night and we raised over $1000 at the door for The Leukaemia Foundation with money still being collected in donation bins dotted around the pub."

The Leukaemia Foundation is an Australian nonprofit organisation caring for and curing patients afflicted with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma, MDS, MPN, Waldenstrom's macroglobulinaemia, aplastic anaemia, amyloidosis, and related blood disorders.
