Thursday afternoons @CafeDoonan
We were feeling a bit peckish on a Thursday afternoon, and wanting something light to nibble on, yet substantial to fill our tummies, so we spontaneously parked in a shady spot and headed to Cafe Doonan.
Cafe Doonan is situated on the Noosa Eumundi Road in an open air structure flled with retro hip vintage decor, colourful local artisan work, upcycled teapots and urber cool tin cans of mini succulent gardens.
The mood is a fun and groovy, relaxed vibe with staff that are happy to assist with your selection from a saavy menu, that features an all-day breakfast option, with vegan, gluten free, and meaty dishes for lunch.
We opted for the gluten free Zucchini, Carrot, Sweetcorn and Haloumi Fritters served with Housemade Tomato Relish and a fresh Garden Salad $13.90 washed down by a large juicy cleanser with Carrot, Beetroot, Apple, and Ginger for $7. Other options on the menu included Caesar Salad, Garden salads, Rib Fillet Steak Sourdough Sandwiches, Gourmet Cheeseburgers, Open Melts on Turksh Bread using all the freshest of ingredients including free range eggs and chicken.
The service is natural and smiles were delightful, making you feel welcomed and appreciated for dropping in.

Outside in the tropical gardens, there are upcycled pallets for tables, stools and a variety of seating options catering for singles, couples or for larger groups of friends.
Kids are most welcome at Cafe Doonan, with a selection of toys and books to play with including a large sandpit outside with large toadstools keeping the little ones happy after they have slurped down a BabyCinno for only $1.50 including a marshmallow.
Friendly furbabies are also welcome at Cafe Doonan with complimentary doggy water bowls provided.
Our verdict of the Zuchhini Fritters was a big 4562.......simply delicious, healthy, tasty, and it met the spot, not only with its presentation, but its full flavours and crispy juicy salad.
Cafe Doonan is open 7 days a week 6.30am - 4pm except Saturday till 3pm, Sunday to 12pm.
Drop Ins welcome. Bookings recommended for large groups.
